Teranga flooded while Arsenal are goal drought

A tough couple pf days for Senegal. Dakar having seen some really heavy rains resulting in flooded homes and districts all over the capital city. I took some footage of my surrendings and it was definately not a pretty side to watch.
That's my view

It also resulted in power cuts which meant I missed the Stoke game. Only later could I see some highlights of it and I must say I quite like the fact we are not letting too many occasions to opponents thus far. It's still too early to give, any judgement but this time last season we still were goal shy after two games while letting two. A season opening 0-0 vs Newcastle was followed by a home defeat against the scousers who we will meet next week. Everybody was talking rightly or wrongly of how we needed a striker as you know who wasn't one and how we need to replace Cesc Fabregas. But in the end scoring goal never became an issue but conceding 49 in the league was a bit too much. I did see enough positives in these two games to have a lot confidence for the rest of the season.

Arteta anchoring the defense is growing on me and in Cazorla, we have a splendid footballer while the anticipated return of Jack Wilshere is having everybody excited. The big question though is about the strikers. When will they deliver? If there's one thing I can trust Wenger with itnis to make an attack click! So to me it's just a matter of time before we have them banging them for fun. He had Wright, made Anelka, Henry, Adebayor and the Dutch Donkey all great strikers with him. Whoever he chooses between Lukas or Olivier as his main center forward will be a great striker for us of that I have no doubt whtasoever.
What is making this season something to look forward is as I mentioned earlier the fact that we are not giving away a lot of chances to opponents for the moment and the fact that we are without 50% of the defense. I sense something truly 98ish about this season even if I reckon it's way too early to give a judgement.

Stoke was a good test and we did OK. Anfield will be an even bigger test. Games at Anfield are always played at the highest tempo and the newcomers will be very surprised of the physical demand of such encounter. Hopefully Koscielny will be able to make the trip and the starting lineup while we will celebrate new signings before visiting KOPLAND.

I just had the priviledge to watch a wonderful documentary of Thierry Henry

A not less than he deserves for being obviously the player he has been for us but also the way he just shares some much love with all of us.
It makes me sad to see Vieira with whom most fell more connexion just never seems to have been at club never one the greatest captain of its glorious history. I like Patrick so much! He is from senegal and has done an excellent job with Saer Seck and likes of Bernard Lama in building Diambars which is producing fantastic players for the national team and has helped us qualifying into the olympics for the first time and doing quite well in it.
All gooners were so much connected to Vieira and he just shruggs us off! We can understand he is an employee of Manchester City but that doesn't can't and should not be able to erase the fact that he is an Arsenal legend and as such could still show now and then some attachment to the club and man that took him away from the Milan Reserves where Berlusconi was refering to him as a giraffe and made him the very best player in the world at his position! Off course he worked hard to get there. We loved his spirit and his leadership. We forgave and forgot when he insulted the club, Thierry Henry, Grimaldi and the likes for begging him to stay. I hope one day he will look back at his career and will see we were the best he ever had as we think he was one of the very best we ever had!

I don't have any issue with Wrighty Wright Wright Wright having a dig at the club evry everytime he has the chance because he was more or less pushed out of the club and his record was broken and his son that he pushed to Chelsea ahead of us never quite got the level he was promised to. So the guy is understandably frustrated at so many levels especially with the current Arsenal management team. But Vieira? What did we ever do to him apart from humiliating the best ever Juventus side he was part of?

Enough of the negativity, we are apparently very serious about Yanga Mbiwa and I can tell you as a french league follower he is the real deal. He is so good he will be able to compete very well against Koscielny and Vermaelen for starting place at the back. He is also an excellent right back where he started his career and on top he is a very capable left back. He is very quick, very strong on one-on-ones and is technically very good. He can head the ball alright. He is a superb player.

Afellay is another palyer we appear to be seriously looking at. I would never say know to such a quality player. I guess we will have to wait and see. A lot can happen until friday.
So COYG!
